3 Rejection Letters

I received 3 rejection letters and yes you are right, I had been rejected by the 3 local universities. I am upset, no doubt. But I am not giving up any chances to further in my studies.

I intend to take ACCA but I have no idea when will I be joining. That is because I appealed for NTU – Accountancy and even if did not get into NTU and go for ACCA, I have no idea if I can pay the fees for the next semester. ARGH! I am in a dilemma now.

Fantastic! Falling ill 1 day before my graduation ceremony. I am down with a bad flu and fever. It’s freaking cold right now.

I had no idea that I am down with fever until I ended my work for the day. -.- I did relief teaching again then left for my tuition kid’s place only to find out that the mother together with the agent cancelled the session today without informing me. -.- Went home to take a quick bathe and went to another student’s place.

Felt sick when I left her place and TATA, I am down with fever. -.-”

Went to see a doctor just now and he asked me if I need a MC. =( I cannot take MC. Especially not on my last day in TP. Pray hard that I will feel better tomorrow. Cross my fingers.

I cut my hair. It’s like FINALLY! Lol. I just realized that the last time I cut my hair is some time last year. OMG! Finally decided to ‘chop off’ a very big portion or it together with Leanne. Hehe.

We met up to change our hairstyles and we ended up cutting our long hair to a pretty short length. Lol. Mine is still around shoulder length. Leanne did a really big change to her hairstyle. It’s short but I like it a lot. Maybe I should cut my hair shorter the next time I visit the hairstylist again. Haha.

Graduation day is just a few days away and I haven’t plan on what I wanted to do after that. So far I have received 2 rejections letter and they are from SMU and NTU. My status for NUS is still at ‘Application Received’. -.- When will they start processing?

NTU rejection letter

I finally received it. I have been waiting for it and it finally came. To my surprise, I handled it better than I expected. I did not breakdown, cry or started swearing.

I felt upset about it and very disappointed with myself. Perhaps it is because I already prepared myself for it. Wan Xin sms-ed me in the afternoon informing me that a friend of ours received the rejection letter already and her GPA is 3.64.

I have thought about it before I went to the lobby to open the mailbox. What if all 3 unis decided that I am not the student they wanted or because of the fierce competition this year, I couldn’t get in. Thought through it and decided that if that is really the case, I will join the workforce for a year and try again the next.

But for the time being I still haven’t lose hope. I am still hopeful. At least I still got the chance to appeal. Even if I receive the same rejection letter, at least I still have the other 2 unis and I will try again and again. Be Strong, Kelly (supposedly Geum Soon).

I am still trying to be hopeful. Not a single letter till today and JC people had received the letters. I am hoping that I am on the waiting list whereby once someone rejected the offer, I would get it. I really dreaded people(사랑) talking to me about the letters from uni. It spoils my day(요일). =(

My uncle comforted me that he also received the letter from NTU pretty late so I am still waiting. YOU HEAR THAT NUS AND NTU? You had better send the letter to me asap. =D

Saw a letter addressed to my brother from my uncle’s company. I wondered what is in it. I want to know. I am suspecting that my brother was headhunted by some headhunters. If that is true, my brother might be working alongside with my uncle. Can’t wait for my brother to get home. I am such a busybody. =P

Okay. Tuition assignments had started. So far I had met 2 of my students(학생). 1 from Victoria *sweating* and another is a normal technical student from Hougang. I will be meeting the other student of mine on this coming Tuesday(화요일). Wonder if he/sheis a guy or girl. =D Hopefully a girl cos the previous 2 are guys. -.- No fun. LOL.

So far I already went through half of the Korean(한국) classes. What I learnt are the basic but I can’t catch it when the teacher(선생님) speaks. LOL. She spoke way too fast for me to catch what the heck she was talking about. Haha. To make it worse, the pronunciation of some words are horrible. Such as Sunday is ‘ir yo ir’, 일요일. Its tough. But I guess I am coping well. Afterall I hadn’t had anyone to practise with. Hehe.

Finally bid goodbye to Corner Love, 转角遇到爱.I find it a rather good show. Worth watching. =)

ARGH!

Letter from NTU had been released as well to those admitted to their Business faculty. Till today, I received none of the above. The feeling sucks.

As I was stressed out by the non-receiving of the acceptance letter from NUS and NTU and when I came across the fact that I was terribly shortchanged for working with WPG, I felt even worse. Stressed out from all these and when Darius persuaded me to quit and join him in the relief teaching line, I agreed.

My last day is on next Tuesday and today is 2 of my colleagues’ last day. Then I realized that many of them are leaving WPG before or after I leave. The first 2 days when I joined WPG 2 left, now another 2 and in 3 weeks time another 1. I am grateful that I also decided to leave. Throughout my 1 month plus appointment there, I had been doing filing and more filing. I am not learning anything at all and the reason I stayed put is because I have great colleagues and now they all leaving 1 by 1.  

ARGH!!!

Now something happier. I went Body Shop shopping after work today and spent $55.75 on 5 items. Surprised? To be more specific, I brought Passion Fruit Body Scrub – $28.90, Olive Shampoo – $16.90, Vitamin E Eye Cream – $26.90, Lotus Petal Body Lotion – $18.90 and Liquid Concealer – $19.90 (my cousin’s). So how did I managed to pay only $55.75? Simple, I get to enjoy 50% discount because of my friend. Darius, his gf, mum and aunties also get to enjoy the discount, thanks to me. I also extended this discount to a couple of my relatives and friends but they do not have anything on their mind at the moment.

Tomorrow a couple of us will be returning to TP to rent our graduation gown and take the last memory with us before we finally bid goodbye to the school. Gonna miss TP very much though it is only less than  stops away from my house. -.- LOL.

Updates

I haven’t got the time to update lately. Now its time! Lol.

Took 1 day leave last Thursday to go back to school to get my endorsed results and SEAL points report. Before that I went to Gaint Hypemarket and Courts Megastore. Yup, they are the few warehouses cum shopping malls opened at the far end of Tampines.

Went there to get a DVD player for my room as now my house has 3 TV sets instead of 2 so my parents’ room, living room and my room has 1 each. But we only have 2 DVD players and 1 DVD recorder so I have to go buy for my room. Its superb cheap. $39.90 for a mini size Akira DVD player. The best thing is even if I change disc and put the 1st disc in again, it can still remember where did I stop the last time. Cool. Lol.

Went Courts to get the cordless phone at members’ price for my mum. She had an operation recently. Its $29.90 only. My god. Really a great steal especially when it costs $69.90 initially. Lol.

Took leave on Thursday and I ended up working 3 hours OT on Friday. Haha. Its good cos I get to earn 1.5 rate. =P But this week I am getting restless and has lesser time to surf the net and chat on MSN at work. Only can make use of time during my lunchtime (after eating my lunch) to do them.

So many things happened. Will update again. Tata.

3 papers down, no more to go

This exam is a disaster. Either there is no time to finish, questions unclear, not enough information given or the questions are super tricky. I don’t expect good results this time round especially when I almost flunk my law project. Forget it, I shall wait for my results. Hopefully able to maintain at least 3.3 for my GPA.

Now, its time for Queen of Dramas to make a comeback. Hehe. Introduce to you: Engagement for Love, 爱情经纪约. The casts are Alex Du, Ambrose Hsu, Lara, Genie and Lin Meng Jin.

The story is about a particular artiste, Young (Ambrose Hsu), caused problems for his executive officer (Alex Du) by eloping with a triad leader’s wife. Being caught between the triad leader and a pressing movie casting, he had to make a decision fast that is to find Young immediately.

Jia Bao (Ambrose Hsu), a gangster from HK with the spliting image of Young, came to TW to look for his cyber ex-girlfriend (Lara) for a sum of money he lend to her. When he arrives, he realized that his cyber ex-girlfriend refuses to acknowledge him and later found out that the one who borrowed the money is Lara’s brother.

It so happened that Alex Du saw Ambrose and decided to come up with a scheme to make him a substitute for Young. The condition of the contract is he is not allowed to reveal his true identity to anyone. During this period, his love for Lara grew but Lara not knowing his true identity fell for Alex Du instead. Between Lara and Lin Meng Jin, Alex’s girlfriend, he had to protect Lin Meng Jin because of her special identity as the hottest artiste of his company.

Again and again, Alex hurted Lara because he is caught between a promise with Lin Meng Jin in the past and his growing love for Lara. Ambrose like a knight in the dark always comforting Lara and protecting her never win her heart. As time passes, Genie, a fallen princess, who is a friend of Lara and also the rightful owner of the company currently owned by Alex fell for Ambrose.

The company was later taken away by Genie’s adopted brother, watch how Alex, Ambrose, Lara, Lin Meng Jin and Genie fights for the company and their happiness.

Basically that is the story. 15 episodes in total. You may find it boring during the mid of the show but the best is at the end. I cried buckets and believed that I used at least 1 box of tissue for this drama. Haha. I was cursing during the start of the show as Lara never saw Ambrose and only has eyes for Alex who is so much older than her and she is so blinded by only what Alex did for her. Believe me, I was so angry at first but as the show progress, I begin to think that Lara is not that bad afterall. Hehe. This is really a very good show. Must watch.
