About birthday
July 18, 2007
I was watching Marry Me and suddenly it struck me about the meaning of birthday. When you separate it into 2 words is known as birth day. It means the day that you are born.
Can it represent the day when a new chapter in life begins as well?
I guess it can also represent a new chapter in life and shall we sing a birthday song on that special day? Lol.
I am starting to have new thoughts about life. Throughout our lifetime, we have so many birthdays to celebrate. It may not only be the day when you are born; it may also be the day when something struck you and a new chapter begins. I am starting to think of weird ideas like singing a birthday song to the person who passed away. He or she did not pass away but just that a new chapter in life begins. I guess that is a better way to consider death. =)

A new member just joined my lovely family of hamsters. =) He is Taro. The first male pet that came to my family. He is the hamster that my cousin found, months ago, and adopted by Timothy. Timothy cannot keep him anymore so I decided to take him in. He is really lively and adorable. =) Hehe. More additions to my family. =)

*nods* agrees with the part that you said that death might be a “celebration”. i’ve read that there are indeed pple around (maybe not so much in Singapore) who consider death as 解脱. Religiously, some do think that they are 1 step closer to their god, which is something that they want! Even in china long time ago, there’s this 庄子 whom “celebrated” by singing songs during his wife’s funeral! He believed that everything in this world is simply made up of 气. we are all the same, just that we are in different forms. Therefore, the death of his wife is nothing much and in fact, its just a change in her form.
Lallalaa~ Paiseh arh. Think I crapped too much =P
