Why Why Love aka 换换爱

The VCD for Why Why Love aka 换换爱 is out in TS stores. Hehe. But there is only Part 1.

After an exhausting day of teaching tuition today, I decided to head to TS to look for some old dramas that caught my attention recently. Then I saw the little preview TV outside TS showing the drama but I didn’t see the drama in the stores. I approached the sales assistant and tata… I bought the VCD with the $10 voucher (still remember?). Hehe. I can’t wait for Part 2 to be out. =P

But sadly, because I saw that drama, I did not buy the old dramas that I want. Sobz.

I wanted to get Magic Ring starred by Joe Cheng, Marry Me starred by Mike He, Smile Pasta by Cyndi and Nicholas Teo, Silence by Vic and so many more. Haiz. They just have to wait. Zzz…

Pasir Ris Pasar Malam

I love Pasar Malam! =D

I was supposed to meet Jia Ying outside White Sands at 6.30pm today but both of us were late (though I was still earlier than her, lol). She wanted to get a bag from a shop in White Sands and decided to ask me along.

She was late and my eyes lit when I saw Pasar Malam. Lol. I love to roam around stalls and looking at the dirt cheap stuffs that you don’t get to see everyday. I bought Char Kway (not the 1 with black sauce), ‘you tiao’ plus sotong plus mayonnaise plus some sweet and spicy sauce. Yummy-licious! Hehe.

Jia Ying finally arrived and I went to deposit my tuition fees that I collected today then headed to the bag shop. Many varieties but all are very expensive. I am personally someone who likes dirt cheap stuffs that have many varieties and of good qualities. That is the reason why I enjoy online shopping. Hehe.

After Jia Ying finally bought her ‘long-awaited’ bag,  we sat down for dinner and started ‘bad-mouthing’ complaining about local productions. We are so against local productions that we totally do not watch them. Our focus are on overseas products. Hehe.

We shared the same views here that local productions are very typical. They are always revolving around 3rd party, pre-marital sex, pregnancy before marriage, gambling and a few more. It is slowly becoming a typical scenario of what to expect out of a local series. I get sick and tired of the expected plot and storyline that I cannot stand watching local productions anymore. Once in a while, I will take a glimpse of what is showing on TV, getting attracted to the plot for 5 minutes and I shut off. Lol. So nasty. Now, only my grandmother watches local productions. =P

We walked around White Sands for a while, looking for the dramas that I recommended to Jia Ying and off we went to the Pasar Malam. We each bought some stickers to trick reward our students. Haha. I even bought a little whiteboard to make teaching more efficient to my Primary 4 student. =P

On top of it, I bought a super huge ‘ah-ma’ luggage bag. It is not really a luggage bag but it looks more like those kind of luggage that an ah-ma will use, except that it is a Monokuro version. Haha. My mum told me that she would never in a million years bring that bag out and I decided to use it for my sprees. Haha. So if the next time you saw me with with a very big ‘ah-ma’ Monokuro luggage bag, the items inside are most likely spree items. Lol.

Drama Reviews 4

KO One aka 终极一班

This show is starred by almost all the members of Fahrenheit except Wu Zun. But Wu Zun did play a minor role in the show. Tang Yu Zhe (南学长 from Hana Kimi) had more appearance in the show than Wu Zun. So if you are just intending to catch this show because of Wu Zun, I suggest that you don’t watch it. He appeared in the show of 21 episodes (each about 1 hour) for less than 1/2 hour.

Okay, back to the drama. This drama is what I called a “Dragon Ball” alike show. Lol. It is almost like “Street Fighting” whereby everyone has their own fighting tactic and powers. There is even ratings for everyone in the high school.

In this special class, 终极一班 , where all the students that other schools fear to admit into the school gathered in this school, known as 高级芭乐高中. The reason is because a minority of these students come from a triad background whereby they have filthy rich parents who are responsible for almost all the expenses of the school(including the teachers’ salary). That is the sole reason for keeping this class going even though their only purpose in life is fighting.

The leader of this class is KO 3 (the third best fighter in all the high schools), Wang Da Dong. He is a good boy in front of his parents, a hateful student in front of his teachers and the best leader in front of the class. His only weaknesses in this class is their form teacher, who helped him once.

Then came along Wang Ya Se who happened to be KO 3 as well, who wanted to take over Da Dong’s position as the leader of the class. A fight is predicted to begin anytime soon.

On the same day, Ding Xiao Yu was also transferred to the class. He is totally different from all the other students from the class. He seems quiet and timid but once he stared at you, fear will overcome you.  He was later discovered to be KO 4.

Both KO 3 and KO 4 became good friends because of a few minor incidents and they came to meet a weird guy, Duan Chang Ren, who knew their backgrounds and ratings on KO list. He will soon become the most knowledgeable person who will lead the main leads to find the purpose of their lives. Who is KO 1 and KO 2? Mysteries will be unfolded.

This show is very comical. Yes, you did not get me wrong. It is comical and the storyline is great. It slowly unfolds all the secrets and you will not expect it to be that way. I personally like this show a lot as although the focus is stressful but the scriptwriter and leads managed to put it across lightly, and make you smile or laugh at any part of the show. It is definitely highly recommended.

Mukodono aka My Husband (2003)

Firstly, this show is a 2003 edition and before this, there is a 2001 edition by the actor.

Not sure if you have heard of the song, Hitoribocchi No Haburashi, by Nagase Tomoya. That is the theme song for the 2001 edition. The theme song for the 2003 edition is Omae Yanai to Akan Nen.

The 2001 version was shown on local TV many years back when Channel 8 decided to open a new channel which was closed down shortly and replaced by the present Kids Central and Arts Central. Mukodono was one of the few shows that was broad-casted on the channel.

Mukodono is basically a storyline about a very popular singer, Sakuraba Yuichiro, cool in front of his fans but totally opposite when he did not have to face them, marrying a normal girl and hiding the fact from everyone excluding his record company. Desperate to keep things under-wrap but yet still unable to leave his newly-founded family in desperation whenever something happens, he will take a step forward and help to solve the problem.

As the more problems he managed to solve for his family, his secret as a married man is increasingly at stake. Soon news broke out that he is a married man and he was forced to divorce as his popularity fell greatly. He appeared on his own news conference and …

Will he divorce? If he did, how devastated will he be? If he did not, what will he do to save his dreams?

This show is again a comical one but touching at the same time. I wept everytime I watched it. I am now looking for the 2001 edition but think it is not longer available. Sob.

Before I begin, I would like to say sorry to a few readers. I reopened JJS spree for friends only, as JJS replied 1 week after I refunded the money. I thought it would be troublesome to request for a transfer again therefore I only open up to friends who placed the order the other time. The wait is still pretty long but the clothes arrived at my house today. Let’s take a look:

I wanted to show the contrast of the items and the picture in JJS website but I have some problems uploading the pictures so I gave up. Hehe. But there isn’t any difference except for the blouse which is bigger than how it looks like in the picture. Sob.

I think the prices are fair enough as they are inclusive of shipping fees and all are pretty hard to find in Singapore. Hohoho. I am so happy and contented.

I will be opening a JJS spree again next week so keep a lookout. =)

Shopping & New PC

It’s spelled, F-I-N-A-L-L-Y!

Yes! We finally bought a new PC before the stupid GST hike (hates it).

Went out with Jia Ying and Yan Ting on Sunday for a shopping trip at Bugis Street but obviously it did not turned out very well. -.-’ Cos before I even reached Bugis Street, $48 ‘flew’ from my pocket. Not exactly ‘flew’ but was spent on the ink cartridges for my personal printer. Shitty. That left me with only about $70 to shop on.

I met Jia Ying first and we started walking around Bugis Street. We walked aimlessly and came to the sex toys shop (Is that what you call it?) but of course we did not enter (DUB! It states 23 and above, LOL). We just stood outside, looking at their displayed items. Jia Ying finds it very disgusting but I find it pretty alright cos if they can display it outside, it should be pretty okay. Haha.

I think I had been influenced too badly by my dear cousin, Esther. Haha. She had already influenced my poor and innocent mind with all these stuffs and of course many other friends and cousins who talked to me about everything. Lol. So, now I am open to such topics but only for close friends and my relatives. Hehe.

Okay, back to the shopping part. I bought a pair of sunglasses (don’t know for what), a tube top and a vest with a white top. Total damage done, $40. Actually I need bottoms as well but I just have no idea what to get at Bugis Street. What they have are mostly jeans or denim material bottoms. Those that are of a different or better material are either not appropriate or not within my budget constraints. Lol.

After which, I received an sms from my dad asking me if I want to meet him at Sim Lim Square to buy our new PC so I bid goodbye to the girls and ran off to meet my dad. When I reached, all I did is to choose the PC casing. -.-’ That is because my brother had already decided on all the PC hardwares and system and all I need to do is look at the casing since it will be mine (half). Haha.

Yes, half of it will be mine together with my laptop. Hohoho. So greedy lucky. =P I will be sharing the PC with my younger brother and I predict I won’t be using it too often since I am so used to my laptop now. Unless of course if my laptop decided to abandon me, which I still have the warranty covered, I will go back to the PC. Hehe.

Oh, did I mentioned about what my new PC has? Haha. I am not too sure either. =P I think we have about 2.512GB of RAM, 240GB/320GB of storage memory, a super good graphic card which has ‘GS’ behind, a pretty good sound card (external one on top of the internal) and some other stuffs. We bought a Prolink speaker (2.1) and a keyboard with a mouse were given free.

Luckily for the free keyboard if not we will not be able to use the new PC as the cable of our old keyboard is getting rusty and the new PC cannot sense its presence. Same for the cable of the shared printer. We replaced the keyboard and leave the mouse as it is because our mouse is so much better than the mouse that was given free. I think it is even better than my brother’s mouse. After all, it costs me a freaking $59.90 to get that to replace the old mouse which happened to go bonkers after my younger brother used it. The old mouse was bought by my brother, who I didn’t know only bought it at $39.90. My younger brother, fearing that my brother would go mad when he found his mouse spoiled after coming home from camp, pleaded me to get a new mouse.

Stupidly, I tried to find a similar one but did not realise that the older one is not for gaming and bought a gaming mouse in the end. At first, my brother did not notice the different but I told him honestly and he told me that the old mouse is not even a gaming mouse. -.-’ Lol.

The new PC had been connected to all the hardwares by my father and younger brother while my brother worked on his own computer. He bought a new and better graphic card (better than the new PC) for $490. =.= I did all the installation, from the system to the softwares. I think I am getting better at computers. Haha.

Oh yes, I always thought graphic card is only a small card about the size of a SD card but who knows that it is so freaking HUGE! Lol.

RIP, Ham Ham!

Ham Ham (March 2005 – 21st June 2007)

My beloved baobei, Ham Ham, left us today. 21st June 2007. We only knew that she left for the other world at 1.10am. Her body was cold when we found her. She will always be missed and loved regardless of where she is.

Ham Ham, I pray that you will no longer suffer in the other world and I am sorry for not being able to be with you when you are breathing your last breath. When I use the ice cream container to keep your body and close the lid, I was not only crying because of losing you but also that you are finally given the freedom to live in another world without anymore pain.

Ham Ham, I love you!

ARGH! I miss my desktop

As above. My desktop has bid goodbye some months ago and we still have yet to buy a new one. I miss it so much as my pathetic laptop with a pathetic storage of only 40GB is going bonkers. With the 80GB hard disk that I bought and the iPod 20GB storage are not enough to sustain all the files in my laptop. =.=

Lol. Yes, you are right, I need more than 140GB for all my files. Hehe. My old desktop is able to do so as it can hold 160GB and with my iPod and laptop plus occassional burning of discs, I am able to live with it. But not anymore.

I want a new desktop!

Sadly, we have been looking upside down for a suitable desktop with a very good system but there isn’t any that fits our requirements. Mainly, we wanted a good motherboard and a few other things as the RAM , ROM, sound card, video card (is that what you call it?) and most of the stuffs are still very new and in very good condition.

Most likely we will be heading to Sim Lim Square to ask the people to just include whatever we want like what my brother did when he bought his desktop. BUT my brother, the only computer wizard at home, is always busy. T.T

Okay, I will just have to bear with it. Oh yes, anyone knows where can I buy laptop battery at a pretty good rate? Mine is an Acer 3000 Series laptop. Thanks in advance. =)

Desktop background

For the past few months, my desktop (laptop) background had been the picture of Manhanttan Seafood Platter for 2. Before that, it was a picture of my favourite flower, Calla Lily. Now, it is (drum roll please) … MIKE HE. Lol. Madness.

Idol craze is back for me. =P Remember the first idol I had is Jerry Yan from F4 after watching Meteor Garden. Hehe. That’s why I remember his lines in the show and watched it so many times. But he did not last for long. About half a year later, it changed to Sun Xie Zhi from 5566. Lol. That is after watching My MVP Valentine and the shows that he hosts.

Erm… I was known as a 5566 crazy back in secondary school and even my form teacher was awared. =P Hehe. That is because back then, we have to make a table cover for our tables and I make one with a poster of 5566 and 2 photographs of F4 beside it. LOL. Best of all, I sat 1 table away from the door and in the front row. Hohoho. My form teacher would ask me if I want certain magazines that featured them and so on at times. =D By the way, I still keep the table cover. Wahaha.

As my madness for idol chasing dies, Xie Zhi becomes someone I admire instead of an idol.

Actually I am not really back to the idol craze period but my liking for Mike He is stronger than for Sun Xie Zhi. Oops. Hehe. Been watching a lot of shows that he appeared in recently. Can’t help but think that he is very adorable. =P Now I am watching Devil Beside You once again and will go on to Love Contract later on.

Off I go to catch the dramas. Tata.

VCDs & DVDs Rental

I should open a rental shop. Lol. One evening, someone called my house and looked for my mum. It’s my neighbour and she wants to borrow this set of drama from me. The thing is I did not ANNOUNCE that I owned that set of drama to anyone except 2 friends and my aunts who happened to come to my house and saw it on the table.

So how did my neighbour find out then? Simple. The neighbour was asking my grandmother the other day about that drama and my grandmother happily told her that we have the drama. -.- I am okay with my family informing the whole world that I owned a particular drama and I am okay with lending them out but the thing is I hope I was at least informed.

Well, that is not the worst. The neighbour asked my mum for permission and my mum agreed. -.- Hohoho. I thought I was the one who earned the money and bought the drama. Okay, not so bad. Except that I already agreed to lend it out to a friend so I can only say sorry to the neighbour that she has to wait. Lol.

After that day, I was talking to my mum that perhaps I should rent out the dramas instead of just lending. Lol. When my aunt heard that, she immediately agreed to rent it at half the price I paid for the drama. Lol.

I am not such a nasty person. I am willing to share. Haha. That explains why my Princess Hours DVDs were circulating outside for almost half a year before returning back to me.  No renting but lending. =D
