‘Suay’

That is the word to describe me today, ’suay’.

I was about to board a bus today when the bus driver ‘decided’ to close the door on me. My forehead and nose is badly hurt by the door. How badly hurt? I am now experiencing giddy spells and feeling nauseous. Wonderful and I still decided to go to my student’s place and teach tuition after that. -.-

Cut off from the outside world

I remember the last time I felt that I was being cut off from the outside world is during my SIP cause there is no internet connection and all I can do is to email to my friends using the super slow responding internal email or send a few sms or make a few calls while I take small breaks from work.

Today I was really cut off from the outside world excluding my handphone and the door to the outside world. Lol. My internet connection and residential phone line was cut off early in the morning. Erm… no, we paid our phone bills promptly so it is not due to unpaid bills. Haha. It was cut off for other reasons.

We signed up mio plan recently and in order for the mio package to work, they have to cut off our connection and we have to wait patiently for the serviceman to come and connect everything again. Waited only for a few hours before the man came to set up our internet. Now everything is back to normal except I cannot stand the super slow internet connection that I am experiencing now. I just upgraded/downgraded (whichever you think is the case) to wireless and the connection now can only be described as ‘as slow as a tortoise’.

Another thing is now only one of the phone can work while the other 2 cannot be use. Gotta wait for my brother to come home tonight to take a look at the internet connection and my father to connect the phone lines. Lol.I am super ignorant about all these. Haha.

Now a little updates on my baobeis. Hehe. Ham Ham is now 2 years and 2 months old. That is like the maximum age of a hamster so I am expecting her to leave us anytime soon. She is still striving to live on. Sometimes when I see her, I feel like putting her to sleep. It is not because I don’t like her anymore but she is suffering too much. She is blinded since long ago and has a lump (tumour/cancer?) on her body. But she still receive lots of love from us. I can’t bear to take her life away when she is still being loved and striving to live. She should be given the chance to live.

Mini is growing sideways and ironically after that holiday trip not long ago, she became very active, quick and all. She learned a lot of funny postures and love to hit her bottle against the walls. Haha. She is very alert. As long as I go near, she will immediately sense my presence and look for me. So cute. =P

Nesie is growing sideways as well. She hasn’t been exercising like her sister and all she does is eat. Haha. I always caught her eating whenever I walked past her cage. -.- Lol.

Regarding Noby, she already moved to my uncle’s place a few months before. I did not get to see her but I heard a lot about her. She is enjoying her new home and she seems to be the ‘landlord’ instead of the ‘tenant’. Don’t understand why I said so? Haha. She is allowed to go to any spots at home and she is so self-centered that she actually locked the door to her cage when she goes back to her cage and open the cage as and when she likes. -.-’ Lol.

Most importantly, she knew what belongs to her and if you steal her vegetables she will glare at you and refuse to go anywhere near to you. Lol.

Grad day

“Don’t throw stones at me!”

Lol. I know graduation day was over for about 2 days already but I can’t help it when I am sick for the past 3 days and walking around my house like a zombie. Yes, I was that sick. Finally I wasn’t that sick today because I took both western and chinese medicine yesterday as my fever just won’t go away. >=(

Time to talk about graduation day.

3 years is gone. Suddenly, I realized that I had spent a good 3 years in poly. I still can remember my first day in TP. I was frantically looking for my class. I was late as I could not get onto any of the bus 8 that stopped at my bus stop and ended up taking a cab to school. Being a VERY new student in TP, I told the uncle to drop me at the taxi stand instead of at the cargo lift of Business school even though I was supposed to be having a lab lesson. -.-’ Yes, only TP Business students would know how near to the cargo lift were the labs. Lol.

After the first week of school, we started waiting for our classmates at ‘Mushroom’. Every morning without fail, we will meet there and walk to our classes together. As the semester came to an end, we were splited into different classes and we slowly stopped waiting for one another at ‘Mushroom’.

We, then changed to sitting outside the lecture halls. Gathered in groups, we chat while waiting for the lecturers to open the lecture halls. Lunch is usually at BizPark, Mensa 1 or 2, Design school or the 2 canteens in Engineering school. Sometimes when we have more time to spare, off we go to the malls or opposite school. Only when we were in Year 2 Semester 2, we finally had a new canteen in ITAS school.

We were struck with Pinetree since Year 1 Semester 1 till Year 3 Semester 2. We were in the labs during free periods. We were ‘forced’ to take CDSs. Selection of electives and “Add and Drop week” during the first week of school.

IG activitites. A&F Booksale, A&F Sports Day, A&F Day, A&F Community Service Day and not forgetting A&F Orientation.

All these memories. They will always be fresh in my mind.

F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C

Fantastic! Falling ill 1 day before my graduation ceremony. I am down with a bad flu and fever. It’s freaking cold right now.

I had no idea that I am down with fever until I ended my work for the day. -.- I did relief teaching again then left for my tuition kid’s place only to find out that the mother together with the agent cancelled the session today without informing me. -.- Went home to take a quick bathe and went to another student’s place.

Felt sick when I left her place and TATA, I am down with fever. -.-”

Went to see a doctor just now and he asked me if I need a MC. =( I cannot take MC. Especially not on my last day in TP. Pray hard that I will feel better tomorrow. Cross my fingers.

Me

I cut my hair. It’s like FINALLY! Lol. I just realized that the last time I cut my hair is some time last year. OMG! Finally decided to ‘chop off’ a very big portion or it together with Leanne. Hehe.

We met up to change our hairstyles and we ended up cutting our long hair to a pretty short length. Lol. Mine is still around shoulder length. Leanne did a really big change to her hairstyle. It’s short but I like it a lot. Maybe I should cut my hair shorter the next time I visit the hairstylist again. Haha.

Graduation day is just a few days away and I haven’t plan on what I wanted to do after that. So far I have received 2 rejections letter and they are from SMU and NTU. My status for NUS is still at ‘Application Received’. -.- When will they start processing?

Argh~

Okay, I am getting very pissed off by the mother of the student I mentioned earlier. I am supposed to be conducting a total of 8 classes, 1.5 hours each every month but till today I still cannot conduct my 4th lesson with the boy.

This is because the mother had changed my tuition timing for more than 5 times. Worst. She took me as a medium man girl to contact the agent because she is afraid to call the agent. Pissed off.

Last week I finally had my 3rd lesson with the student and we spent 1.5 hours doing 3 simple algebraic equations and 1 of which is done by me. I only have 3 simple points for him and he just cannot remember them. I repeated myself at least 100 times and he still cannot remember it even though I was constantly reminding him.

I asked a friend who had 1 year of teaching experience and currently has 5 students on hand what should I do with such parents and student. She recommend me to drop it as well. I am dying for the 8th lesson and bid goodbye to the mother and the boy. Most importantly, STOP calling me 1 day before the tuition date to cancel the tuition.

NTU rejection letter

I finally received it. I have been waiting for it and it finally came. To my surprise, I handled it better than I expected. I did not breakdown, cry or started swearing.

I felt upset about it and very disappointed with myself. Perhaps it is because I already prepared myself for it. Wan Xin sms-ed me in the afternoon informing me that a friend of ours received the rejection letter already and her GPA is 3.64.

I have thought about it before I went to the lobby to open the mailbox. What if all 3 unis decided that I am not the student they wanted or because of the fierce competition this year, I couldn’t get in. Thought through it and decided that if that is really the case, I will join the workforce for a year and try again the next.

But for the time being I still haven’t lose hope. I am still hopeful. At least I still got the chance to appeal. Even if I receive the same rejection letter, at least I still have the other 2 unis and I will try again and again. Be Strong, Kelly (supposedly Geum Soon).
